Bui Minh Anh (Alex Bui)
Software & Cloud Engineer · Vietcombank · Hanoi, Vietnam · Open to relocation
Hi, I’m Bui Minh Anh (Alex Bui) — an infrastructure engineer who builds automation-first cloud platforms for regulated, large-scale environments.
At Vietcombank, I design and build the foundations of the bank’s enterprise data and ML platform on AWS and Databricks: multi-account architecture, secure private networking, identity and access, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and the governance and FinOps controls that keep it all accountable.
What I enjoy most is the part between people and systems — turning ambiguous requirements into measurable engineering criteria, and getting engineering teams, security, vendors, and leadership aligned on a technical strategy they can actually ship.
What I work on
- Cloud platform architecture — AWS multi-account design, networking, and platform governance
- Data & ML platforms — Databricks, Unity Catalog, MLflow, model serving
- Automation — Terraform, Databricks Asset Bundles, GitLab CI/CD
- Security & identity — Entra ID, AWS IAM, SSO/SCIM, RBAC
- Cost & operations — FinOps, tagging and cost allocation, observability
Below is where I’ve been, with photos of the teams I’ve worked with along the way.

Software Engineer — Cloud & Data Platform
Vietcombank · Hanoi, VietnamDesigning and building the foundations of ODP, the bank's enterprise cloud data and ML platform on AWS and Databricks — from multi-account architecture and private networking to IaC, CI/CD, security, and cost governance, in a regulated environment.
- AWS platform architecture: Multi-account structure, networking, security, and platform governance for the cloud data platform.
- Databricks platform: Workspace architecture, Unity Catalog, compute, identity, access control, and environment separation on AWS.
- Private connectivity: Secure links between enterprise networks, AWS, and Databricks using Direct Connect/VPN, Transit Gateway, Firewall, PrivateLink, VPC endpoints, and Route 53 hybrid DNS.
- Identity & security: IAM roles and groups integrating Microsoft Entra ID with Databricks SSO/SCIM, service principals, RBAC, and secrets management.
- IaC & CI/CD: Terraform and Databricks Asset Bundles for consistent deployments across environments, plus CI/CD standards for Python and ETL workloads.
- Governance & FinOps: Compute policies, tagging, usage monitoring, and cost allocation to keep the platform efficient and accountable.
- Working across teams: Aligning Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, and external vendors on requirements, solution architecture, BOMs, and implementation plans.

Coding Instructor
Junior Engineers Tech Centre · Queensland, AustraliaTeaching kids to code, and a job I loved. Turning big ideas into small, hands-on steps that young learners could build on.
- Weekly coding classes: Designed and delivered a weekly programming curriculum for groups of 15–20 students, using Scratch to build foundational coding concepts and computational thinking.
- Arduino workshops: Created and led hands-on Arduino workshops for 15 students, combining electronics and programming to build working motorised vehicles.
